We’ve spent the last three days talking to some great artists down at Victorious Festival in Portsmouth in the UK, and again we’ve learned about even more frustration in using Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to engage fans further than a Like or a Follow. A common story we hear is there’s lots of clicks but turning these into real fans is not working well. It’s even more prevalent that bands and artists don’t like the fact that after providing content to pull fans into their page on social networks they feel the network takes much more than they give back.

It was hard work having to sit for three hard days sipping Pimms in the sunshine, but we’re sure we got the message out there that GigRev is working for the artist and not to build its own brand on the back for their name.
